6 M SW DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS AND REPORT

6 Metres on Dartmoor On Saturday the 2nd of June Dartmoor Model Boat Club hosted the inaugural SW District Championship(reclassified) event for the 6 Metre Class. Ten boats assembled for the event on what was a somewhat uncharacteristic day at Shaugh lake as the sun shone, there was no rain and Number 1 rigs were used throughout the day. DF 65 1st Summer series Results and Report

` What was to be a new `Trial `venture on our race calendar with the already well established Dragon Force fleet in abundance ,the concept of  two classes namely the aforementioned and the Dragon Flites combining in various  forms that could be viable ,had not taken place due to some lack of support . DF 65 Winter Series February Results / Report

DF65 Race Report for Saturday 17th:- After a foggy drive to the lake for most skippers, they gradually arrived in “flocks” just like the landing of a “squadron on geese” onto our lake! Steve W (RO) with Dave M had made ready all the necessary kit to get the races underway, unfortunately the Dartmoor wind/weather (like a computer) said “No”. So we waited for the predicted light winds to arrive from the NNW to N direction, eventually it decided to arrive! So with a simple windward, leeward triangular course set & the control zone on the East bank, the racing[…]
